Audience: System administrators installing and configuring Sapho Server

1. iOS app

Before you can assign and configure the Sapho iOS app, you must add it to Intune.

If you plan to use the public Sapho app from the App Store, please add the iOS app to Microsoft Intune.Screen_Shot_2018-02-07_at_15.08.19.png

If you plan to use a custom build of the Sapho app (i.e. upload a .ipa file), please add it to Microsoft Intune.Screen_Shot_2018-02-07_at_15.12.43.png

Once you've added the Sapho app to Intune, you can assign it to user or device groups. You can either add a new group or you can select an existing group and assign the Sapho app to it.Screen_Shot_2018-02-07_at_15.30.43.png

Now, you are ready to configure the autoconnect_url parameter to point to the URL of your Sapho Server.

To do this, please use the Intune configuration designer. First, you’ll add a new app configuration policy.Screen_Shot_2018-02-07_at_15.56.19.png

Then, you’ll assign the policy to the desired groups.Screen_Shot_2018-02-07_at_16.01.26.png

Once you have completed all the steps above, your employees will be able to get Sapho from the Intune Company Portal app by selecting All Apps → Sapho → Install.

2. Android app

(This tutorial assumes that you have already added Android for Work binding for Intune beforehand.)

To add the Sapho app to Intune, you must log into the Google Play for Work store, find the Sapho app, and approve it. (See this detailed Microsoft technical guide for more information about how to do this.) The approved app should appear in the list after a few minutes of syncing.Screen_Shot_2018-02-07_at_14.32.53.png

From here, you can assign the Sapho app to groups. You can either add a new group or you can select an existing group and assign the Sapho app to it.Screen_Shot_2018-02-07_at_14.41.07.png

Next, you are ready to configure the autoconnect_url parameter to point to the URL of your Sapho Server.

To do this, please use the Intune configuration designer. First, you’ll add a new app configuration policy.Screen_Shot_2018-02-07_at_16.23.18.png

Then, you’ll assign the policy to the desired groups.
