How to add edge tuning to notifications

In addition to letting users turn notifications on and off, Sapho packs a powerful feature called edge tuning that lets each user customize a threshold that must be met before receiving a notification.

For example, individual managers can set different limits for when to be notified about new expense reports based on the total amount of the report.

Adding edge tuning to an event in Sapho is very simple:

  1. Open the event for editing.
  2. Click to add a condition to the event. This will be the basis for edge tuning.
Currently, Sapho only supports edge tuning for columns with a numeric data type, so keep this in mind when adding your condition.

Tip: If you still would like to catch all events, set up a condition that will always be true using the column you want to make available for tuning (such as the one in the example below).
  3. Click USER PERSONALIZATION in the “And inform” section.
  4. In the Personalization modal, enter a value that will be used for the increment. For example, if you enter 100, users will be able to raise and lower their threshold by increments of 100. You can also apply any relevant formatting to the value before clicking Done to save.
When users open the settings of a feed card associated with the event, they will be able to adjust the threshold in the increments that were set up.

Tip: To make the column’s title more user-friendly, you can set up a default label for it by navigating to the table and then the column in the Connectors section.
