How to integrate SAP with Sapho version 4.2 or greater

Important Note

Sapho uses SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) for connecting to SAP ERP system. Even though is SAP JCo available to SAP customers without any additional license fees as part of their respective solution or component license, the redistribution of SAP JCo by third parties is not allowed according to the license agreement. Therefore, it is not included within Sapho distribution and SAP JCo needs to be installed manually.

 

Step 1: Obtaining SAP JCo libraries and binaries

  1. SAP JCo 3.0 is available to SAP customers according to the license agreement for SAP Connectors. SAP JCo library can be downloaded from SAP Service Marketplace http://service.sap.com/connectors.
  2. For login use your S-User ID and password. 
  3. Navigate to Products > Connectors > SAP Java Connector > Tools & Services

Step 2: Download appropriate SAP JCo version

Go to Download SAP JCo section and choose right version suitable for your operating system.

Step 3: Install SAP JCo

A. Windows:

Extract SAP JCo distribution archive and copy sapjco3.dll and sapjco3.jar files to Tomcat lib directory which is located in TOMCAT_HOME/lib. Then restart Tomcat server.

B. Linux:

Extract SAP JCo distribution archive and copy libsapjco3.so and sapjco3.jar files to Tomcat lib directory which is located in TOMCAT_HOME/lib. Then restart Tomcat server.
